Last week I told you how we were gearing up for Star Wars Day by making a Perler Bead Empire logo. Well with May the fourth a little over a week away, I made a Perler Bead Rebel logo.
I’m planning on making a cool geeky craft with these next week for Star Wars Day. So I used the small circle Perler pegboard. The detailing on the logo isn’t perfect but it defiantly resembles the Rebel logo.
Check out my Perler Bead Lightsaber pattern if you want a pattern that uses a square pegboard. Plus if you are just starting out with melting beads, you may want to check out my Perler Bead beginner’s guide.
Rebel Logo Facts
Traditionally this logo is seen in red, so if you are making this Rebel logo you can consider using red instead of black. In fact, red was the logo color that was used on pilot helmets in the movies. I chose to make it a black logo because I like the monochromatic feel it had.
The Rebel logo itself is considered a symbol of hope in the Star Wars universe. It’s the Alliance Starbird, also known as a phoenix symbolizing the rebel’s hope to rise up from the ashes.
