Last year I started watching Arrow. I didn’t really expect much from it, I figured it was another silly superhero show. I was glad to be proven wrong. Every aspect of the television series enthralled me, and I was an instant fan As a Funko collector, I wanted the Pops to go with my new favorite tv series. Specifically, I wanted a Malcolm Merlyn Funko Pop.
Malcolm Merlyn Funko Pop
One of my favorite parts of the series is the relationship between the Green Arrow and the insane, yet genius assassin, Malcolm Merlyn. I easily found the Green Arrow Funko Pop, but I couldn’t seem to locate a Malcolm Merlyn one. Apparently, at the time, it didn’t even exist. So, without a Malcolm Merlyn Funko Pop I saw no need to buy the Arrow.
I’m pretty sure that Merlyn knows that Green Arrow is there.
Honestly I was a little peeved at Funko for not representing the iconic Merlyn with a Pop. Shame on them, John Barrowman’s portrayal of Malcolm Merlyn makes the series in my opinion.
Time passed, and Funko announced that they were going to make a 2016 SDCC Exclusive Malcolm Merlyn Funko Pop.
I was bummed. There was no way I was going to get to the San Diego Comic-Con, so I’d never get to have a Malcolm Merlyn Funko Pop in my collection.

If you didn’t know, Hot Topic sometimes gets Comic-Con exclusives of Funko Pop. Luckily for me, the Malcolm Merlyn Funko Pop was released by Hot Topic as a 2016 Summer Convention Exclusive. Yay!!
My favorite people bought me both the Arrow and the Malcolm Merlyn Funko Pop. Double Yay!!!

Malcolm Merlyn Funko Pop
I must say, I love everything about this Funko Pop. The mold is amazing. It is very detailed. You can even see the individual arrows in his quiver. Plus, the quiver itself is studded with silver paint.
Malcolm Merlyn’s outfit is quite detailed too. There’s texture on the shoulder pad and little buckles on his boots. He’s even got a small turquoise amulet hanging around his neck.
Even though this Pop is an exclusive, he can still be purchased. Any fan of The Arrow definitely needs one in his collection.
