Perler Bead Craft Ideas

One of the best things about all these Perler Bead crafts is that although the tutorial tells you exactly how to make each one, you can still adapt all of them to different Perler Bead patterns or designs.  So even if you don’t want to make Minecraft Magnets, you can make princess magnets if you just follow most of the instructions in the tutorial.

Before we begin, I encourage you to pin this post on Pinterest.  That way you can come back to it easily for reference when you decide to make one of these Perler Bead craft ideas.  Oh and don’t forget to follow me while you are there.  Oh, and by the way, this post contains affiliate links.

Perler Bead Minecraft Magnets

Making magnets is one of the staple crafts of every Perler Bead artist.  It’s really simple. You make a Perler Bead sprite and glue a magnet under it.  It’s a super easy craft for any one.

Perler Bead Magnets

We make magnets all the time as gifts for people because it’s so easy to personalize them by making something the receiver likes.  In my Minecraft Perler Bead Magnet post you can see exactly all the steps needed to make the perfect magnets every time.

Perler Bead Star Wars Coasters

You can easily add a backing to any of your coaster size Perler Bead creations to turn them into coasters to hold your drinks.

Perler Bead Coasters

Nightlight Perler Bead Craft

You get both fun and function with this Nightlight Perler Bead craft idea.  It’s actually really easy to turn any Perler Bead creation into a nightlight with just a few supplies.

Perler Bead Nightlight

We still use both of our Perler Bead nightlights, and I love the way they look.   One of these days I’m going to make seasonal ones so I can easily switch out nightlights for each holiday.

Perler Bead Cards

Check out these cute Perler Bead cards.   This is such an easy craft for even the smallest Perler Bead artist because the Perler Bead pattern needs to be pretty small to be able to fit on a card.

Perler Bead Cards

We crafted Perler Bead Thank You cards, but I’ve made many other versions to hand out to friends and family.  Mostly because it’s a great way to get the kids involved with card making.

Perler Bead Dice

These Perler Bead dice are one of the more complex Perler Bead ideas I’m sharing with you today.  Don’t worry though, they still aren’t that hard. It just takes quite a few pieces to make, and you have to iron them pretty evenly to get them to fit together.

Perler Bead Gift Tags

Here’s another Perler Bead craft to easily get the kids involved…Perler Bead gift tags.  This craft is great because all you have to do is get your little one to make a simple sprite from Perler Beads and then you can do the rest.

Perler Bead Gift Tags

Last Christmas we made the cutest Perler Bead gift tags for some of our gifts.  I loved the fact that it made the gifts more personal because there was something handmade on them.  You can get the full instructions on how we did them at the link just above.

Mickey Mouse Perler Bead Bookmarks

I have to admit, when I first came up with the idea of putting some cute Mickey Mouse heads on top of a paper clip to use as a bookmark I wasn’t sure if it was going to work. I honestly thought the ears would fall off. Oh boy, was I wrong. These bookmarks are both cute and functional.

Perler Bead Bookmarks

The best part about these Mickey Mouse bookmarks is that you can use any color for the Mickey ears and they still look amazing.  The link above will show you exactly how I got them to stick to the top of the paperclip.

Perler Bead Emoji Pots

We thought it would be fun to decorate our flower pots with Perler Beads, so we made these cute little emoji pots.  One of the funnest parts for the kids and I was to pick the face we put on the pot.

Perler Bead Flower Pots

Of course, we made Perler Bead Emoji pots, but you could really turn this melting bead craft into anything you wish. Gluing little flowers around the edge of the pot would be super cute.

Sensory Bottle with Perler Beads

I really thought my kids were too old for sensory bottles, but I was so wrong.  Last year we went through a sensory bottle phase and had a blast throwing all kinds of ingredients into a bottle and playing with them.

Perler Bead Sensory Bottle

One of my favorite sensory bottles that we made was this Perler Bead Sensory bottle.  It’s so fun to watch the beads slowly move from one end of the bottle to the other. Plus, bonus points for the fact it glows in the dark.

Perler Bead trinket box

A lot of times Perler Bead artists make boxes that snap together.   BUT those kind of boxes have to be a square or rectangle. I wanted to try my hand at making a round box, so I made this cute Pokeball from Perler Beads.

Perler Bead Trinket Box

This Perler Bead pokeball box was easy to make, it just takes quite a few pieces.  You can really take the concept I did and make a box of just about any shape. I really do love this box and it sits on my desk at work to hold my paper clips, so it’s even functional.
